Carola Guber

Carola Guber, mezzo-soprano
From 2001-2004 mezzo-soprano Carola Guber sang as member of the Ensemble at the Vereinigte Städtische Bühnen Krefeld/ Mönchengladbach. There her Repertoire expanded to include Carmen, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Jokasta in Oedipus by Riehm, and Olga in Eugen Onegin. From 2004 – 2008 she worked as a member of the Ensemble at the Theater Erfurt. While there she sang Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier, Fremde Fürstin in Rusalka, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Kundry in Parsifal, and Venus in Tannhäuser. From 2008 to 2011 Carola Guber held the position of adjunct vocal instructor at the Hochschule «Franz Liszt» in Weimar. In 2010 she became professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater «Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy» in Leipzig.
